“I am not what happened to me, I am what I choose to become.”

C. G. Jung

Sam Lee, LPC

I believe healing occurs in the context of relationship.  As you are looking for a therapist, you are inviting someone to peer into your internal and relational world.  That privilege is something I don't take lightly and I consider myself an honored guest.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) serving clients in the Central/East Austin area.  I specialize in looking at the impact of sexual/emotional/relational/spiritual/racial trauma & abuse and its effects on current relational dynamics.  I am also serving as the Director of Training with The Allender Center training future practitioners in the work of trauma-focused narrative therapy.

I welcome clients as my honored guest to my therapy space and strive to co-create a safe environment to explore the nature of your past and present struggles.

Sam Lee is a kind, wise man whose therapeutic gifts are profound. As a leader in the Allender Center I have seen Sam’s commitment to enter the deepest heartache of his clients to engage the internal war that keeps the heart from being free.
— Dan Allender, Ph.D., The Allender Center
Sam is a great therapist, good at getting to the heart of the issue even when it isn’t what it appeared to be at the start.
— Louisa Hall, Clinical Supervisor, Sound Mental Health
It’s been a pleasure to work with Sam who is an insightful, compassionate, thoughtful clinician. Children and families find healing through his work of building meaningful and therapeutic relationships.
— Angela Han, Family Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
